Titanic Museum

The famous Titanic ocean liner has been resting at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean for almost 100 years, but in 2010, visitors to Pigeon Forge will get to experience for themselves the magnitude and the beauty of this legendary ship. Currently under construction in the city’s Music Road area, the massive three-story scale replica of the Titanic will display hundreds of priceless artifacts in 20 different galleries.
Features will include exact replicas of the Grand Staircase, a first-class suite, a third-class cabin and the Marconi wireless room. The bridge will offer interactive features similar to those of the attraction’s sister ship in Branson, Missouri. Visitors will also be able to touch an iceberg, experience the chill of 28-degree water, sit in an actual lifeboat, “steer” the ship and send an SOS message
The ship will be anchored in water to create the illusion of Titanic at sea, and a 90-minute self-guided tour will give guests the sensation of sailing on the original ship’s 1912 maiden voyage. Upon entry, each guest will receive a boarding pass bearing the name of an actual Titanic passenger or crewmember, whose fate will be revealed on the Memorial Wall at tour’s end.
A free Titanic Museum preview trailer is stationed at the job site until construction ends. Visitors are invited to stop by for a preview tour of this landmark development in the making. In addition, a large electronic billboard now flanks the museum attraction’s entrance, giving passers-by continuous construction updates and information.
