This 1,000-seat Pigeon Forge music theater gives visitors a unique way to experience and celebrate the Volunteer State’s rich musical legacy—plus a whole lot more. Dancing, music and clean, family-friendly comedy anchor this fast-paced two-hour production, which is divided into two acts. The first half—“Tributes to Tennessee”—uses a top-notch cast of singers, dancers and musicians to showcase the state’s rich musical roots, from country and gospel to the blues and rock ‘n’ roll. Among the highlights are the music of Dolly Parton and Elvis tribute artist Cody Slaughter, an Arkansas native who has enjoyed national recognition for his dead-on portrayal of the King of Rock and Roll.
The second half—“The Times of Tennessee”—whisks the audience down Memory Lane with musical favorites of the ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s. This segment features the show’s gospel quartet, the Tennessee Studs, as well as a patriotic tribute to the U.S.A.
Guests of Tennessee Shindig have a choice of two different discounts—either $5 off show admission or a free dinner at the Wood Grill Buffet. Located next door to the theater, the restaurant offers all-you-can eat steak, roast beef, salads, desserts and more. The theater is located at traffic light #2 on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, next to the National Parks Resort Lodge. Shows are daily (except most Sundays).
