There’s so much beautiful scenery in the Great Smoky Mountains that you would have to do quite a bit of driving around to take it all in. Thanks to Scenic Helicopter Tours, however, visitors to the Smokies can enjoy all the visual splendor of the region from one of the best vantage points possible—high up in the air. Scenic Helicopter Tours offers a range of tour options to accommodate their customers’ viewing preferences and budgets. Short introductory flights start at around $10 per person and go all the way up to Scenic’s Grand Tour package, which allows guests to essentially be their own tour guides, or the pilot might just show off some of his favorite spots. Altogether, there are some nine different tours covering most of area’s most notable sights, including Douglas Lake, Bluff Mountain, Gatlinburg, Wears Valley and the national park.

Scenic Helicopter Tours, located on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to sunset, weather permitting, and helicopters are heated for comfortable flying in winter. Each helicopter holds three to four passengers, and there is virtually no age limit, young or old.
