The Dinosaur Walk Museum in Pigeon Forge is the place to go to see what it might have been like to get up close and personal with prehistoric dinosaurs. The 12,000-square-foot attraction features more than 50 life-sized, scientifically accurate and realistic-looking dinosaur replicas. Constructed by “paleo-artists,” these creatures are depicted as they might have appeared when they roamed the Earth.

Exhibits include a two-and-a-half-story tall Tyrannosaurus Rex, a 70-foot-long apatosaurus, a variety of raptors and a flying pterosaur with a 40-foot wingspan. Other sights to see include the massive jaw of a megalodon—a precursor of the shark—and a 40-foot-long “supercroc” that was a distant ancestor of today’s crocodile. There’s also a 35-foot-long parasaurolophus—a duck-billed dinosaur that stands some 20 feet tall and a collection of human skulls that traces human evolutionary history back to caveman days.

The open floor plan is segmented into individual display areas, so that guests get to meander their way through the museum’s mazelike self-guided tour. There’s lots of lush jungle greenery, a flowing water feature, and surprising creatures await around each corner. Dinosaur Walk also offers several interactive games that will test your dino-knowledge as you answer questions displayed on video screens.
